If whoever was driving the car on the dyno started at a lower RPM and gave it WOT, would the turbos spool up sooner in the rev-range? That way once it reaches 3k, it has a little bit of inertia built up... Also, I read that article about the guy's supra, and apparently flow restriction was a HUGE deal on these turbos. Changing exhaust alone netted 30 rwhp.
